Privacy practices for the Yubrix iOS application

Yubrix is a light social inspiration app built around photos and short captions that help users capture, share, revisit, and expand personal memory fragments. This page explains how information connected to the app, the website at monarchical.yubrix.xyz, and related support interactions may be handled.

Effective Date: February 3, 2026

1. Data Collection

Information received through Yubrix may fall into several categories depending on how the app is used. When a user creates an account, contacts support, uploads content, or interacts with social features, the app may receive personal details such as an email address, profile information, submitted photos, captions, and other materials a user chooses to share.

The app may also record technical and activity-related details. These can include device type, operating system version, app version, language settings, approximate region, IP-related network information, crash reports, diagnostic records, session timing, interaction patterns, and feature usage. This type of information helps with reliability, moderation, security, and product improvement.

Certain device permissions may be requested where relevant to app functionality. For example, photo library access may be used so users can upload images, camera access may be used for creating new content, location access may be requested for optional contextual features, and contacts access may be requested only if a feature requires discovering or inviting people the user knows. Permission-based information is only available if the user grants access through iOS settings or in-app prompts.

Yubrix may also use third-party software development kits, analytics tools, cloud infrastructure, moderation tools, and similar service components. Those tools may automatically receive limited technical data such as device identifiers, diagnostic events, general usage data, or security signals needed for their operation.

2. Data Usage

The information described above may be utilized to operate the app, maintain user accounts, publish content chosen by users, personalize feeds or recommendations, detect abuse, troubleshoot technical problems, and keep the platform functioning as intended.

In addition, Yubrix may use certain details to communicate with users about account activity, product changes, policy notices, moderation outcomes, support requests, and service-related updates. If promotional messages or marketing communications are sent, they may be limited by applicable law and user preferences, and users may opt out where an opt-out mechanism is available.

Information may be shared with service providers, contractors, hosting partners, analytics vendors, trust and safety providers, or legal advisors when such sharing is reasonably necessary to run the app, process requests, enforce rules, prevent fraud, or comply with law. Yubrix does not treat user-submitted content and personal details as public by default unless the user chooses to post or share them through features designed for visibility to others.

3. Data Storage & Security

Data associated with Yubrix may be stored on servers operated directly or through infrastructure partners in regions where the service or its providers maintain facilities. Storage locations can vary over time based on hosting arrangements, operational needs, performance requirements, or legal obligations.

Security measures may include access controls, encryption in transit, secured databases or storage environments, credential protections, logging, monitoring, and internal limits on who may access certain categories of information. Even with those efforts, no platform, network, or storage method can guarantee absolute security, and users should avoid sharing materials they would not want exposed in the unlikely event of unauthorized access.

Retention periods depend on the type of information involved, the purpose for which it was gathered, legal requirements, dispute resolution needs, and account status. Some records may be deleted promptly after a request, while backup copies, logs, fraud-prevention records, or legally required archives may remain for a longer but limited period.

4. Third-Party Services

Yubrix may rely on outside providers for infrastructure, analytics, content delivery, customer support, diagnostics, moderation, fraud prevention, communications, or payment-related operations if such features are introduced. Those providers may process information on Yubrix’s behalf and only to the extent needed to perform their assigned functions.

Because external services may change over time, this policy is written broadly rather than listing every vendor by name. Each provider may maintain its own privacy terms and security practices. When users interact with links, embedded content, or third-party features that are not fully controlled by Yubrix, handling of information may also be governed by the privacy rules of those external services.

5. User Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on where a user lives, privacy law may grant specific rights regarding personal information. These may include the right to ask for access to stored data, request correction of inaccurate details, seek deletion of eligible information, limit certain processing, object to particular uses, or request a portable copy where legally required.

Users covered by the California Consumer Privacy Act may also have rights related to disclosure of categories of personal information, sources, business purposes, and third-party sharing, as well as the right to request deletion of qualifying data and the right not to face unlawful discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

Users covered by GDPR or similar frameworks may request information about the legal basis for processing, object to certain processing activities, and ask for restriction in appropriate circumstances.

To exercise any of these rights, send a request to support@yubrix.com. Yubrix may need to verify identity before fulfilling a request in order to protect account security and prevent unauthorized access.

6. Children’s Privacy

Yubrix is not directed to children and is intended only for adults. The app is designed for users who are 18 years of age or older. Accounts or submissions from individuals under 18 are not knowingly sought or encouraged.

If Yubrix becomes aware that personal information has been provided by someone under the permitted age threshold, that information may be removed and any related account may be suspended or deleted, subject to operational and legal requirements. This approach is intended to align with applicable child privacy rules, including COPPA where relevant.

7. Policy Updates

This policy may be revised from time to time as the app evolves, new features are introduced, legal obligations change, or operational practices are refined. Updated language may appear on this page without prior individual notice in every instance.

When a change is material, Yubrix may provide additional notice through the app, by email, or by another reasonable method. The effective date shown near the top of this page indicates when the current version began to apply.
